Introduction
This verb tense is used to talk about the future. It describes actions, events, or situations that will happen. It is the most direct way to speak about what is to come.
The main use of this tense is to talk about future events or make predictions. It describes what you think will happen at some point after now.
This tense is also used to express a guess, assumption, or probability about something happening in the present. It shows uncertainty and can often be translated as "I wonder", "must be", or "probably".
You can use this tense to make a promise or state a firm intention to do something.
In very formal contexts, like in laws or official instructions, this tense can be used to give a strong command or state an obligation.
Even though this tense is for the future, in casual conversation, Spanish speakers often use other structures (like "ir a + action") for near-future plans. This tense is more common for more distant or certain events, and very common for making guesses about the present.
